Heart Healing Through Classical Music. Why classical music? Classical music is most often identified by the key in which it was written. A popular piece of music is often place a key that is convenient for the singer. Classical instrumental music remains true to the key of the composer. Popular music serves the vocal range of the performer. The system we are using employs music in particular key signatures for healing particular ailments. One flat is the key of the heart. That equates with “F” major and its relative minor, “D”.
Heart Healing and other Cures Through Music was Once Practiced through “Ethos”
Prominent in Greek music was the concept of ethos. It ascribed ethical characteristics to the different modes. Modes are the arrangements of tones and ½ tones in a particular scale. The Dorian mode was preferred because of its strong and virile character. Phrygian mode was ecstatic and emotional. Lydian mode was thought to be both intimate and lascivious. In the Republic Plato stressed the educational values of the Dorian mode. He also warned against the softening influence of the Lydian mode.
Our music today has mainly two: the major and minor mode. However, these modes use 12 primary key signatures. My theory is key signatures can act as ancient modes. Like in antiquity, the standard musical tones even today is set by “A-440 v/sec”. It is not a co-incidence the the length of one side of the Great Pyramid is 440 cubits.
So what key signature in the major mode can be therapy for the heart? One flat or F major. That is connected to Leo. Here are a couple of examples are below Listen to them. See how you feel. Then, if you care to, let me know. This theory is all in the testing stage. If you feel no difference, just enjoy the music.
